Camp Trailblazers Where else can you find a fun place to be in the summer to swim, play gym games, go on field trips, visit DQ, have great snacks and is State Licensed? Come to the YMCA summer day camp for 11 theme-filled weeks of fun! Before and After camp care available. Flag Football This program is designed to teach kids the basic fundamentals and rules of football through active participation with an appreciation for competition and sportsmanship. The league is co-ed for 5th and 6th graders. Friday Night Dodgeball If the winter weather has you down and you can’t find anything to do in town, join us at the Y for some fast moving fun! Kids are grouped with K-4th grade, and 5th-8th grade. Girls Volleyball League The YMCA is excited to begin a league for young ladies who want to improve their volleyball playing skills by offering quality practices, instruction and game play. League is divided into two ages groups: 4th,5th & 6th graders and 7th & 8th graders. Go Girl Image 101 This class gets down to the basics of body image and how health and fitness relates to it. Whether you feel you are overweight, underweight, or think you are somewhere in between, GoGirl has something to offer you. For girls ages 13-18. Home School Program This program is designed to give home-schooled children, ages 7-18, a chance to join together for physical education and camaraderie. Indoor Soccer This instructional league will focus on developing soccer skills in young athletes. For children ages 5-10. KidZone State Licensed Before and After School care for ages K-6. This program gives kids the opportunity to enjoy swimming, gym time, homework assistance and a healthy after school snack. Kidzone will offer a variety of activities for all ages, while incorporating the YMCA four core vales: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. SafeHaven This unique program, funded by the Logan County United Way, reaches Middle School aged children who may not have the opportunity to participate at the YMCA. Organized activities, snacks and the four core vales of the Y will be implemented. This program, running Monday, Tuesday and Thursday throughout the school year, is free of charge and transportation is provided to and from the Y. Vacation Fun Days What are you doing on your day off school? The YMCA has swimming, gym time, snacks, games and much more on all scheduled holidays and even unscheduled snow days. Youth Basketball This winter league is great way for young athletes to develop their skills. The program will stress fundamentals such as passing, dribbling, shooting, offense, defense, and sportsmanship to 1st through 4th graders. Youth Strength Training For 12 and 13 year olds who are ready to use the Wellness Center. Upon completing a 4 class series and passing a basic test over the materials covered in class, your child will earn a Wellness Center Privilege card. This card will allow them access to the wellness center during privilege hours. Hours will vary by season. |
