Pre-school

Crafty Kids

Crafty Kids is a class where children will spend time making fun and easy snacks and other seasonal crafts. Each four-week session will have different activities. This class may require children to bring some materials from home for certain projects.

Story Time

The YMCA in collaboration with the Knowlton Library of Bellefontaine is offering story time at the YMCA.

Elementary/Teens

Friday Night Frenzy

Come join your friends for a fun night of dodgeball, kickball or basketball.  Kids are grouped with K-5th grade, and 6th-8th grade.

Martial Arts

Learn the fundamentals of martial arts.

Home School Program

This program is designed to give home-schooled children, ages 7-18, a chance to join together for physical education and social interaction. Activities will be tailored toward the interests of the group as a whole.

Tween Scene

The Hilliker YMCA will now be offering a supervised program for your children so you don't have to worry about them while you workout! They will participate in various activities such as crafts, games, Wii, and more. Ages 6-12.

Ballet

Children will have fun learning the grace and beauty of ballet.

VACATION FUN DAYS

Ages 5-12

Themed adventures await for children to create, explore and discover. Fitness and swim time too! Healthy Breakfast, lunch and snacks. Field trips may be scheduled and parent / guardian permission slips will be required.

YOUTH DANCES

Join your friends at the YMCA and dance the night away! Enjoy your favorite music, games and concessions!

Elementary Age (6-11) dance from:  5:15-7:00 p.m.

Middle School Age Dance (Grades 6th through 8th) : 7:15 p.m.-9:15 p.m.

Dance dates for 2012 – Jan. 21st – Winter Wonderland;
Feb. 18 – Sadie Hawkins;
March 17 – St. Patrick’s Celebration.

PARENT'S NIGHT OUT

Ages 3-12

Would you like to have some free time on a Friday night? Bring your kids to our Parent’s Night Out program! While you enjoy a fun-filled evening your kids will enjoy a night of games, swimming, movies, friends and pizza, all at the YMCA!

ANNUAL Y HEALTHY KIDS DAY

Bring your family to the YMCA and celebrate healthy, active kids! Fun activities, children’s screenings, snacks and more!

Easter Splash, Play and Brunch

Bring the kids and join us for a delicious breakfast and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Then stick around for our Easter Egg Hunt!

SafeHaven

This is a state licensed after school program all Logan County teens grades 5-8 who need mentors, want to experience good fellowship, receive homework help, and have fun at the Y.

Youth will participate in swimming, dancing, sports and many other activities. Program is held M / T / TH from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Safehaven staff will transport teens in the Y van. Any other transportation will require written permission from the parents. Teens will be picked up at the Bellefontaine Middle School at 2:00 p.m. and transported home after the program.

Youth Strength Training

Youth learn to safely use the Wellness Center machines and equipment and are set up with a basic fitness program.

Flag Football

This program is designed to teach kids the basic fundamentals and rules of football through active participation with an appreciation for competition and sportsmanship.

Lifeguard Certification Course

Upon completion, each Lifeguard Candidate will receive the following certifications: Lifeguard/First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.

*These certifications are required for employment as a lifeguard.

*Must be 15 yrs. old to take training

Girls Volleyball Clinic

Area coaches are teaming up to provide the Ultimate Volleyball Clinic. Middle school girls will have more play time as they learn to improve their skills, technique and ability to play competitive volleyball. Girls will learn sportsmanship from the area’s finest.

Youth Indoor Soccer

Meet your friends for a game of supervised indoor soccer on Saturday mornings. Young players will get to learn or refine basic skills of soccer such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. Half court play.

Journey Scrapbooking

Create memories that will last a lifetime. This program can be taken with a parent, close friend, or sibling to capture the best moments of your life in a book you will treasure forever. Scrapbooks make perfect graduation and birthday gifts.
