Specialty Fitness

Peak Challenge:

Get energized and enjoy all the benefits of a personal trainer in a group setting with this challenging, motivating and fun program.

 

Personal and Group Pilates

 

Basic Group Pilates:

Learn the fundamental positions all while strengthening your abdominal and back muscles. Flexibility and proper positioning will be emphasized.

Advanced Group Pilates:

This class is for the exerciser who has gone through Basic Pilates and is ready to push themselves further.

Pilates Personal Training:

*each session runs 30 minutes followed by several minutes of stretching and muscle release.

1. Private exercise session utilizing a Pilates Reformer table and all its components while using one's own body weight as resistance. Training is customized to individual needs and includes extensive benefits in flexibility, joint mobility, core strength, balance and posture.

2. Private Mat Pilates sessions focus on integrating the entire body without use of weights. Using only body weight and gravity, the training will tone, strengthen and lengthen the whole body all while stabilizing the “powerhouse” or core muscle groups.

Semi-Private Pilates:

It is suggested those new to pilates and wanting to do semi-private do a minimum of 6 private sessions before beginning semi-private training

 

Yoga

Mixed Levels Yoga

A practice welcoming students from experienced beginner to advanced levels. Variations are given to accommodate students of all levels. This style is particularly suited to athletic types. It is a vigorous and challenging style of yoga that links postures and breath to build heat, flexibility, strength, and mental focus. Instructor: Carol Souza

 

Tai Chi

A "soft" form of martial arts that is suitable for anyone at any age. It is low-impact and great for joint mobility, balance, and posture.

 

Cycling

Group Cycling:

An indoor cycling class taught by certified instructors that consist of amazing cardio challenges, varying speeds, and resistance levels, hill climbs, flat runs, and more! Let the instructor guide you through a ride that you can taylor to fit your own person fitness level and goals. Thee classes are great for beginners to advanced participants - because the participants set their own resistance levels.

Morning Simulator

Start your day off with a spark! Ride with intensity as you experiance a variety of fun cycling drills to a diverse array of motivating music. Sprints, hills, marches and a few surprises with a focus on resistance! Feel the surge as you learn how to increase strength and endurance levels. Be ready for any speed on any terrain in and out of the saddle.

Endurance Ride

Designed to push your body to new levels of cardio fitness! Endurance class maximizes the limits of performance. This class is focused on consistency and is recommended for athletes in training for any long distance competition or looking to increase their levels of cardio vascular health.

Whether you need help staying on track for a weight loss goal or you have an event you are training for, our certified Personal Trainers are sure to create a workout just for you. During each session you will meet 1 on 1 with a trainer for an hour to ensure you are getting the most out of your time.

Cool temperatures keeping you cooped up? Join the Y’s walking program and get warmed up on our indoor track! Enjoy the benefits of walking while keeping the nip of old man winter at bay. Makes a great gift for those “hard to buy for” relatives.
