Safe Haven

Safe Haven is a unique program held at the Hilliker YMCA. It reaches Middle School aged children (grades 6-8) who may not have the opportunity to participate at the YMCA. Students are picked up from the Bellefontaine Middle School (transportation also provided from Benjamin Logan Middle School) and are returned home after Safe Haven. Safe Haven meets from 2:30  – 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The purpose of Safe Haven is for students to attend a safe, supervised place after school where they receive homework assistance and participate in physical activities.  Program activities include homework help, academic enrichment, arts and crafts, supervised games and physical education, and field trips. Activities are centered on the four core values of the Y: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
